Prague was a lively town with a charming old quarter, set on a nice river with loads of traditional Czech restaurants and cheap beer. It was freezing in Prague well below zero degrees the entire time we were there with a few snow showers. New Years was fun there weren't any official city fireworks so everyone brings there own and sets them off, extremely chaotic but great atmosphere and loads of fun.
